I would have to say Homer's Illiad and the Oddessy are the best books to read but I learned my knowledge of Greek Mythology by wikipedia, it's fun and simple.

There's a book called "D'ulare's Book of Greek Myths" (Something along those lines.) It was given to me in elementary school by my aunt. It's not by any stretch of the imagination a kiddie book. But it was very well written & easy to understand and comprehend. I still have it and re-read it from time to time.

The Iliad and the Odyssey are awesome. Bullfinch's Mythology is good for a quick glance at some stories.

"The Greek Myths" by Robert Graves is cheap, very well written (I think), has excellent cross-references, and covers all the well known myths.
