Unemployment statistics are NOT the number of people whom want to work! They only represent those who can collect unemployment pay!

A recession, and more than likely a depression, is coming. Michigan's "one-state recession" is getting ready to erupt country wide.

But don't lay ALL the blame on the "treasonous" employers, we do not have to look any further than our own homes to see who really is at fault here. Americans demand higher and higher wages, better benefits and lifetime security, and then we go to the store and demand lower and lower prices and more cheap crap to fill our homes.

We are running our OWN jobs out of America in order to save a few bucks. It won't be long before the truth of this comes out.

Sales are dropping across all industries and with less sales, there are less jobs.

Why are sales dropping? People who have lost their good jobs and who now are losing their homes, cars and lifestyles, can't afford to buy anything! People quit spending, people quit working. Supply and demand.

And personally, the government and its ever increasing tax burden on American business runs many jobs out. Then the unions demanding that employees be paid for life, even though they know the company cannot increase the sales price to make up for paying 5 people to do the job only 1 person shows up for, is costing more jobs than any other single factor.

The unions have made it clear, they will run every other job out of the country to save 1 of their own. Funny thing is now THEY are finally losing their sweet deals.

When you bankrupt your suppliers, you bankrupt your customers. What goes around comes around and who do they think will buy their products when the only people left with good jobs are the executives & their own employees!

If you mean by illegal immigrants, I doubt that the displacement rate for jobs is that high. The immigrants take jobs that Americans don't wish to do. Super low paying jobs, such as in fabrication fields.

You cannot make someone with a university degree work in a "sweatshop" for minimum wage, they feel overqualified and are.

Americans need to instead provide visas to illegal immigrants, so they start paying taxes like everyone else. Marginalizing doesn't stop them, nor does making them illegal. Someone has to fill these jobs, the only difference whether they are legal or not is their taxes.
