Why not congratulate him?

It costs you nothing and will make him feel great.

Besides, even Michael Jordan had to start somewhere. Now that he's on the boards, maybe his team mates will feel more comfortable with giving him the ball so he can score even more points next time.

congratulate him. He might not be the most athletic person on the team but he is trying. My sister got laughed at her all the time and it just made her really nervous. Help make him confident about playing ball and maybe it will help him get better at it.

You should congratulate him, because he has made an improvement. Even though it is only four points, it is an improvement.
