i think its horrible the way people are so desperate for sex that they think its ok to hump anything that walks their way,i think that answers the second part of the question

It's great! There is disease and yuk all over the place anymore, so why not have a friend that you know well and have a little extra fun every once in a while. I've done it before, I had a "friend" for about 3 years while i was going through a time in my life where i wasn't up for anything serious, and quite honestly it worked great for the both of us! We had been friends for several years before, and are still friends today even though we have both been in seperate relationships for a while now. No big deal.

Think it's the best way I know of to lose a friend and maybe make
an enemy. With one exception, my wife is my best friend, and
the benefits you wouldn't believe.

Based on what I've seen some of my friends go through, I think that nothing good can come from it.
I would never do it.
