It seems like it is a connection problem, but I haven't found anything yet that might be causing it. Any suggestions?

It could be the speed selector switch ( does it do it in all settings ? If the blower stops and you move to another selection will it start up ? ). It could also be the blower relay, find the relay, have the blower running and gently tap it with the head of a screwdriver. If this makes the blower go off and on it needs a new relay. It also could be a connection. Lastly.... it could be the blower motor itself.
