I don't have a Civic, but I am a long time Honda owner, and I can tell you that you'll be happy with it. My first car was a '89 Civic and it lasted 600,000 miles if that's a clue to how it runs. Plus, the way gas prices are today, you want something that gets good mileage.

all the civic are build for style not speed....it never create for speed..that why you see so many civic that have so much different style...but all show and no go...civic is just a economic car..if you want a good car ..accord is the one....but civic dont get the dx lx or ex level cuz is alway broke down..my cousin she have 01 and she trade in for 07 accord last week,,cuz civic run like **** yo,..is slow when you press the gas is can event go up that fast......

I have a 2005 civic se and before that, I had a 1990 Accord....LOVED both cars! I'm looking at getting the CRV next, the car just isn't practical with the way our family is growing.

But definatley, a great car!!!

I can honestly say that my Honda accord is the best car I ever owned and they last practically forever. sometimes the looks ain't all that great but if its a V-6 you'll have plenty of power and if its a L4 you have enough power just not enough to race. lol but they are great cars.

I have a 89 accord and it got over 150,000 miles and get 31miles per gallon. I've seen them with over 300,000 miles on them

i just traded my 2000 civic for a 2007. i had 137,000 on it with no troubles at all. always 35-41mpg and never, ever used a drop of oil.
if your 01 is in good shape now, you'll be in good company for quite a while.
they are perfect little cars!

Tell ya what Honda is known for building cars that last. I had one that lasted well over 200,000 miles. Very good reliable cars, as long as it has be kept well, you will not be disappointed.

My friend had one, not a bad car for just getting around economically, and as far as dependability goes its just like most cars, keep up regular maintenance and you wont have to many problems, but if your looking for something fast your in the wrong brand name.

well my mom has '02 and although she has crashed it repeatedly, it still runs great, in fact when I go home in two months she is giving it to me. And I have a 10 month old son I have to drive around in it. We both trust it enough to put him in there, so I Guess I could say I love it!
