I can go anywhere for 2 weeks. My husband and I are starting to plan a vacation. Money is not an issue. I've thought about Madagascar, India, Ancient areas of China... but I'm open to anywhere right now. Where do you think I should go?? & why?

Just so you know my previous travel I'll list it. It's a short list (cause I'm only 20)..

I've been to the Dominican Republic twice.. and have been all over the country. East to the beach and west towards Haiti.

I've also been to Italy for a month. Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Tuscany, Rome & Venice.

I enjoy adventure with luxury. I love exotic places that aren't as touristy and often harder to get to. Off the beaten path is great... but I also like to relax and have a good time.

& I understand that 2 weeks isn't that much time for some places. Depending on the location it could be longer... but not more than a month.

Hands down, I would chose to go to Kruger National Park in South Africa. We stayed at Sabi Sabi and had our own five star hut in an open game reserve. We would take wonderful open Land Rover Safaris during the day and at night the Rover would stop under the stars and we would walk a path lit by torches to an open air, boma fire Five Star dinner. The accomodations were spectacular and the staff was beyond friendly. Sabi Sabi is a favorite vacation spot of Nelson Mandela. Look it up on-line. You will be amazed.

You will fly into Johannesburg, South Africa and then the next day you can fly into the small airstrip in Kruger National Park.

Just something to consider...
2 weeks sounds like a lot of time but when you travel it flies by so incredibly fast!
I would say don't go too far from where you are... like if the flight takes more than 6 or 8 hours for you plus transfers or whatever you are looking at 2 days cut off from your time just travelling plus the time adjustment...(jet lag) the reality would be your vacation would be 10 days if you'd go this route.
If you have time, research your dream locations and pick 2 or 3 "musts"...that way you can focus your time to enjoy yourselves in that environment.
Depends what you want to do... activities, site seeing or lounging. Are you going to learn and soak in beauty or going to say you were there?
That all said, my suggestion to you would be Greece.
The food, the weather, the sites, the pace are all wonderful.
The people are laid back and won't go out of their way to be friendly...they are mostly like "whatever."
There is a wide range of activities and modes of travel. Every island has it's own character too. Personally, I enjoyed Crete and Santorini the most...depends what you like really. (I'm into history and ruins & artifacts & stories)
The water (Mediterranean) was the most incredible blue I have ever experience anywhere or in anything.

That's my input...hope you have an excellent well-paced and safe trip wherever you decide to venture!
Bon Voyage!

I have been to Hong Kong, Ireland, Thailand, Singapore, Hawaii, Japan & Guam. I loved them all!! If I had a chance to go back to any of them, I would choose either Hong Kong or Ireland. I had a blast in Hong Kong - the shopping was great! The people in Ireland are wonderful and it is such a beautiful country. If I had a chance to try something new, I would want to go to Australia.

I really liked thailand and nepal. China sounds great, but do your homework, I know there's red tape and hassles to deal with.
Trekking in nepal is amazing. Super cool old temples and buildings in the cities. Thailand is warm, friendly, beautiful, cheap, safe, and exotic. Stay away from the overly built up spots and check out the less travelled bits.

if its the first one you're taking, go to some place that has English speaking people and is secure and is clean as well. Don't be too adventurous if you're not up to it. I suggest taking a group tour to get a feel of "touring". Choose from your list and agree on one place you both want to go to. Its hard enough arguing about where to go if you both don't like the place. Get vaccines as well before you go.

If it were me, I'd choose Australia. The country is huge so it would take that long to see the all the country has to offer. I've been there for business trips three times and have seen Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and my favorite...Adelaide. I adore the place!

Why don't you do a cruise? Me and my husband paid like 10k for our cruise and we traveled to like 6 or 7 lslands and about 4 countries. It was sooo wonderful and romantic we had the penthouse suite. That way you could see the world! we hit all the carribbean islands including Europe and Spain. We swam with the dolphins, sky dived, jet skied, and white water rafting.
