I’m going on a cruise in April. I haven't a clue of what to do. Some have said the Jolly Roger others the submarine. I saw the Tiami 5 star catamaran w/ turtle encounter, but the more I look things up the more confused I get. Anyone have any good ideas?

There 6 of us going, ages 15,29,45,48,52,60. Us 2 younger ones are up to do almost anything, But my dad has artificial knees so lots of climbing is out for him. We don't all have to do the same things.

The best is the Tiami, and then walk through Bridgetown afterwards. If you only have a few hours, then that is what I would do.

I agree with Tiami catamaran. It's relaxing & peaceful. The turtles are so interesting to watch while they swim under you. Harrison's Cave is usually a must for people. The Mt Gay Rum Tour is interesting & short (and close to the cruise terminal). You don't have to sample the rum if you don't want, but it's interesting nonetheless. The Jolly Roger is fun, but more for the younger crowd (or love to drink strong rum punch).

BTW, if you are on a cruise...the duty-free shopping in Barbados is going to be more expensive. Unless you want the typical souveniers, you could probably skip shopping altogether & enjoy the sights.

I never figured out why a vistor on a cruise would want to spend the day still on the sea.
When you visit there are some island safari tours that take you around. If you are more adventureous you may try the ATV tours our you could go on a helicopter ride.
Vist the barbados tourism website they may have some stuff you can view before you finally decide.

Here are a few web sites that'll help you research places.
www.barabdosrockley vacations.com go to the maps and info section there is quite a list of links to various places. The site also has links to restaurants and various activities.
There's also www.barbados.org and www.visitbarabdos.org.
The Barbados Wildlife Preserve was neat. North side of the island (next to the stables). The animals roam free and included monkeys. Adults entry was approx $11 US and children approx $6-7.
The Animal Flower Cave on the far northern tip of the island was okay. We liked the view up on top of the cave, but inside the cave was okay.
Go over to the Southeast coast in the Silver Sands area and watch the people KiteSurf and WindSurf. Kind of neat to watch

Perhaps give us more of an idea what kinds of things you enjoy and woud be interested in seeing? Also age group?
Without hat information I would suggest hiring a driver, when you walk out of the terminal, they are waiting there, for the day and trust him o give you an island tour. There is far nmore to see than the Jolly Roger & Tiami - both of which are drinking cruise which you can do back on the ship.
Have fun, Bim is beautiful.

Barbados has a lot to offer -- it ranges from dining to sightseeings. Bridgetown, its capital, has different kinds of shopping. May I suggest Cave Shepherd, a duty-free one in the capital -- it has from perfumes/colognes to souvinours to clothes. I am aware of zoo, submarine..

I wonder if you have heard of Harrison Cove.
