No it would not fail it's MOT. Not all cars have rear-windscreen wipers or washers (i.e saloon cars and convertibles)

I'm not sure what a mot is. I'll assume it is a safety or emission test. What about the cars that don't have rear windscreen washers?? Do they fail?
I doubt if it would fail, but to be honest, I'm not familiar with European safety checks. Good luck with it though.

Yes I think it would fail the mot.If you have rear wipe/wash fitted then they should be working. If the rear wiper is working ok and only the rear washer that is not working,1st.check the electric pump is working from the reservoir. You can hear your pump working. If the pump is ok.You must have a fault in your tubing some where.,One common thing is that the washer tubing wears away with the tail gate opening and closing after a long period of time. Good luck.

i doubt it - some cars don't have a rear windscreen washer at all!
as long as the ones on the front work then i think that's fine.

No, it's not an MOT item, wouldnt even get a looking at. I spend most of my time (at work) prepping vehicles for MOT and i've never had one fail on that.

I don't know for sure, but think of it this way:
Your vehicle can't fail for something that it wasn't equipt with to begin with. Kind like owning a 1950's vehicle as a daily driver. You are only going to be kept to 1950's standards.
If a car has a piece of equipment installed and it doesn't work, it could be a concern, but probably won't cause a failure. The most important thing is this case is whether the wiper works and clears like it's supposed to.
