Sadly, most people in the business world want a polished look. This does include some cosmetics. Once you get where you want to be- the top :) you could stop wearing it & set a new trend!
There are lip/ cheek tints that are very fresh looking that you may like- not really make-up just adds colour. Use a bit of mascara, a taupe or light brown eyeshadow is very natural looking, & a cheek/ lip tint & you will be set. This will add a bit of brightness to your face. If you need assistance, go to Sephora, MAC (in Dillards & Nordstroms) tell them what you need & they will help you get the look you want. You don't have to buy anything at that time, tell them you want to think about the new look & try it out. You can then get less expensive mascara (sky high curves by Maybellline is a good one) & shadow. There are no less expensive tints on the market yet.
Hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, you may e-mail me.

I think it's totally possible! I work in a professional office setting and don't wear makeup. Natural is beautiful, and you probably take real good care of your skin since you don't cover up with make up. Besides, looking professional has to do with a lot more than makeup. Appearance is how you dress, your hair being maintained and healthy, clean, smooth finger nails (even if they aren't long or painted), and that's only half of it. The second half is based within yourself. Self esteem, confidence, How do you carry yourself when you walk into that conference room? Do you hold your head high and stand firm and proud? You don't need makeup. You need to be you. Besides, chances are, sense you aren't used to wearing makeup, you probably won't be comfortable with it on. You have to be comfortable with yourself to be confident! Good luck with your career!

Wow, do you still do everything your parents told you? Do you really? There is absolutely a 'decorum' that must be met in the office, especially depending what your job title is. I always look at it like this, you are representing 'The Company', not just yourself. Thus, you must carry yourself accordingly. If you decide to be 'different' from the rest of the group, and separate yourself by not wearing make-up, you are calling negative attention to yourself that you are NOT a team player. Don't be surprised if you get passed over for promotions etc...... Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's right, it's just the way it is. Studies have shown different areas light up in our brain when looking at people. Perceived 'ugly' lights up one area, whereas perceived 'beauty' lights up another. How does this affect our actions or thought proccesses? Who knows?!
Look, my parents were awesome, and I love them dearly, but- I've learned as an adult they were wrong about some things. They were wrong about quite a few things in fact. You just have to go out in the world and do what's right for YOU.
Good luck to you!

You can defin. go without makeup... some women end up overdoing it and in this case, less is more. Some men think that a woman without makeup is more honest... see if you can find a way to let your natural beauty shine through. You can style your hair and wear a few tasteful pieces of jewelry. Good luck!

Very unprofessional. I say wear just a little. have one of your girlfriends help you. Unless you are a temp that is when I say don't wear any because you work for that staffing agency and it is a project however long it is then the staffing agency will find you another one. Long term projects yes, Short term like a few weeks, no.

absolutely !! unless that is your business and if not what does it have to do with your abilities. Would you feel better about yourself wearing make-up? When we dress nice and feel good we reflect that outward so don't do it to make someone else happy.
I sell Mary Kay and I believe good skin care is more important then wearing make up. I also see lots of women wearing make-up incorrectly too much and the wrong colors. make up should enhance your natural god give features.
