I'm sure that you want something to fill that "Boyfriend Void" after its all said and done. For a while I was going girlfriend to girlfriend trying to find fulfillment in relationships. I was always dissapointed with the result of broken relationships. I'm Christian, and I had to come to the realization that God wants to be first in my life and I need to find my happiness in Him. If you're christian or not you're going to feel that need to have God first in your life. If you're not someone who believes in Jesus then you need to start a relationship with Him. The gospel is this: Jesus took on the form of a man. He lived a sinless life. Died on the cross according to the scriptures and on the third day arose from the dead, and according to the scriptures ascended into heaven. If you believe in Him, you'll have eternal life.
That's the fear you've been experiencing. The loneliness of a life without God is terrifying. Live for God.
I just broke-up with my girlfriend for the fact that I was drifting from God. He was calling me back and now I'm back on the correct track He has placed me on. Take this advice and try it.

Do yourself a big favour and leave, don't come and go just leave you know it's over leave. If you have kids to him he will be part of your life for the next 16 years no matter how much you hate him. I am glad you relaise he doesn't deserve you , alot of girls and guys are with people who treat them bad but stay.
Remember this being alone is not lonely and that you can be lonely in a crowd.

Then pick up and leave him i am sure you already know where you are going to live so that won't be much of a problem and you have a job you just have no confidence in yourself and that is why you feel so alone you need to get out more and see the world go to the movies the parks and have fun..

In any relationship a certain level of dependency, on the other person, is created for both parties. In general we as humans feel as though we are losing a piece of ourselves in a break-up due to the fact that one of our support beams is being removed from our grasp. In time these feelings fade and with each new relationship grow stronger.

What are you waiting for? If you know it's not going to work, be the bigger person and walk away. You will be doing what's best for the both of you in the long run.

you can't miss what you never had, so once you've experienced something, you miss it when it's gone. I agree, if you want to leave, then do it. better no man than a bad relationship. you'd be doing both of you a favor.

Then just do it, you will be ok. You can make friends and move on with your life. But, as long as you stay you will feel this way...
