Report them to the School Board.

1. Immediately record the experience with anecdotal notes, signed and dated at the time.

2. Contact a relevant police person in a chain of command not connected to the official. The FBI would probably be the best. Ask them how to proceed.

3. One corrupt official does not make a corrupt system, but be cautious about approaching anyone above them without doing the above, as they might also be involved.

4. DO NOT APPROACH ANY POLITICAL PERSON. They have their own agendas, and someone will talk before the police can act to apprehend the scoundrels.

Good luck and go get them!

personally i would first gather evidence. give them the kick back they are asking for and document it in the form of a check, video tape and audio. make sure on the audio recording you ask them if this is something that is unethical or against the law, and include their response. i would then go to the school board and news and police. theyll take it from there. at this point, all you have is hear say evidence, which will do you no good, and could possibly harm your reputation.

Kick-backs are unethical and also illegal. If someone is asking for a kick-back, they are breaking the law. Is it really a kick-back or is it a discount that they are asking for? If it is a kick-back, report it to your supervisor/boss and to the school district.

contact the superintendent of that district, or go higher up. Don't wait...

I don't want my tax dollars going to a kick back

(even though I know it happens all over, if we don't stand up and do something about it when we can, it will only get worse.)

Don't give it to him, or her. In my opinion that person does
not even deserve their job. If they want to steal I would
not enable them. Since you are a tax payer, you are
among the list of people that are being stolen from.
Do the right thing, you will feel good that you did.

I'll take your question literally (though I doubt that someone would be so stupid as to ask directly) and say back away and pass any proof to your local/state respresentatives.

Report them to the school board. Give them one month to correct and if not, take it to the press.
