Contact a Law School in your area. Law students are required to do pro bono work. they will be able to refer you to a program.

Go to legal aid.
Most lawyers wont take civil case on pro bono because it always involves more than they want to work for.

You know the saying there's no free lunch? Well, there's no free lunch. You want a lawyer, you pay for a lawyer. And with attorneys, you definitely get what you pay for. And if you're thinking of acting in your own behalf, remember the saying that an attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client. Good luck!

Try the legal aid in your city or county.
I used to work for them in Virginia. They may not take the case, but may be able to give you some good advice.
They have income guidelines and have to do an intake procedure before you can be eligible for their help or advice.
Good luck
