What else are we supposed to use? Environmentalists complain about coal because of it's impact on global warming. Others say no to Oil because it will eventually run out and using it causes us to do business with less than desirable nations. Can't burn trees, because there would be none left after about a year. So then what do we use for power?

You have a choice.
Use fossile fuels,coal/oil.
Use hydroelectric.
Use Nuclear.
Or go without electric period.
Each has drawbacks and benefits.
Wind power is unreliable and even Ted Kennedy doesn't want to see a bunch of windmills.
Hydroelectric is my choice, the same dam can produce power and control floods.
