I'm wrighting a paper on puerto ricans being steriotyped and i was wondering what are some of the things that people have heard. I am puerto rican and thought it would be interesting to choose this topic for an assighnment at school.

That they love music and to dance...that they talk loudly and fast, that they don`t pronounce certain common words correctly, that P.R. is NOT a country.

one steriotype that still exists seems to be "passion" both good and bad.

That all Puerto Ricans are half black. I have been to Puerto Rico, and I know they are not all mixed.

not smart ppl, have children very young, like to deny their african ancestory, very proud of their culture (why???I dont know)
