well i didnt hand it in but drove about 10miles to cash it in at a different location,was only for £150 but it was money i didnt have,but now i feel abit guilty,think i will give some to an childrens charity.

No. If you find a lotto ticket and hand it to the police.... chances are they will cash it in because there is a slim to none chance of finding the original owner. Cash it in yourself!

Are you crazy? I'd only give it to a really big guy if he threatened my life or a really pathetic old couple who could identify the numbers. Otherwise MINE MINE MINE!!!! Honesty dictates that unless someone comes and tells you its theirs and can prove it, then it yours!!!
This is not a wallet or cash that someone can identify.
By the way I lost a winning lottery ticket, could I have it back please?

I think you should cash it in - after all you picked it up off the street, therefore you deserve payment for street cleaning!!!
