Just curious. I live in Tennessee and am needing to put out my advertisement for spring. And am debating if I should put them out now or wait until the end of next week when maybe more people will be thinking about calling someone. What is your opinion?

I would do it now. I also live in TN and our yard is already needing attention to get ready for the season. Also, if your ad is the only one because other people waiting, you will get the early lookers. Good luck!

I have my own landscape company too.I would say do it now and be the first to get noticed.I personally use flyers.I have got loads of business from these. Often people remember they had a flyer and find it easier to phone from them than look in a newspaper or the phone book .I have a spring summer and autumn flyer tailored to the different types of work the seasons bring. The rest comes from word of mouth for me,
The only way to know is to do it now.If you wait you will remain wondering. If it does'nt work then at least you needent try that approach again.

That depends on how much you are going to allow to spend on advertising.

Whenever I would plan meetings or something I would always put out notices early then remind them a couple times between then and the meeting, then one last time almost right before the meeting. If you don't start early people get busy with something else. And if you don't remind them almost at the end they will forget about it.

I think it takes people seeing advertising a couple times before they truly decide to do something. It was that way for me when I went shopping for a bed at the furniture store or when I went shopping for a house. Seeing that advertisement a number of times finally got me to the point where I was like, "Yeah, I think I'll check that out finally."

If you just need your lawn and garden tended, you don't need a landscape company at all. If you want to throw your money away and/or impress the neighbours; call them RIGHT NOW!
Otherwise, just get a jobbing gardener if you won't be there or a labourer if you will.

I live in England but this is a common question. What happens if the Landscaper is booked up and you have to make more telephone calls? Get it arranged and have peace of mind!

Nice to correspond with you over the Pond.

Put them out now. With the weather you have had, it is not too early to start thinking about these sort of things. The worst that can happen is your signs will be weather beaten.

Why not do both? A small advertisement in say a local church bulletin for now,and then later a larger one in the local yokel,or the daily newspaper!?

I would call the landscaper now, because I know they get booked up. If it was my business, I would advertise now to get the bookings in.

Good luck with your business. I wish you a busy year !!

What part of Tennessee. I service most of middle Tennessee. It doesn't really matter when you call. It all depends on what you need done.
