Great places to visit in VEGAS?

I am only going to be in VEGAS this weekend for 2 days, and 1 night (can't leave my kids for any longer than that!). I have been to VEGAS once before (5 years ago, and I was not yet 21) Are there any must see locations, or must do activites while I am there now that I am of age??

We are staying at the Excalibur Hotel

We have limited time, so we are trying to stay near the strip.

You just get that Bum of yours to Vegas and no matter where ya go or stay you will find something to see or do.... Coyote bar, New York New York, MGM, and don't forget the old Vegas where the rat pack got together.
I went to Vegas unprepared and only three days and I got to see alot more than I did.... (if ya have a very open mind the Green Bar is a hot spot just ask any taxi driver to take ya) the place always changes but well worth the look.

From the Excalibur you can walk or take the monorail to the Mandalay Bay. Have lunch at the Border Grill, go to Shark Reef, hang around at "the beach", then have a late afternoon vodka at Red Square.

Don't forget to visit the M&M's store just up the strip from the MGM Grand to get soveneirs for the little ones

Visit the hotels down the strip - it's fun because each one has a theme. Then you can always gamble when you feel like it - but there are bunches of stuff to do at the hotels - movie theaters, shopping, shows, - a lot of time free shows like musicians at the bar, or i think circus circus still has a trapeze act over the casino floor. Also the Rio tends to have a show that's free

You can go and gamble in some of the hotels; and see some of the shows. The Bellagio and the Mandalay bay usually have the best shows. If you want a Ferrari after you hit the jackpot, go to the Wynn and there is a Ferrari store that sells cars. only thing is there is a 10-12$ entrance charge to the car inventory

Nine FIne Irishmen is a great bar at NYNY-not the "club" atmosphere just good live music and brews.

For a great view, w/o the crazy crowds, try Voodoo at Rio-rooftop view outside of the whole strip is amazing and a lot less pretentious than Ghost Bar at Palms

Outside the strip, try red rock canyon, valley of fire and lake mead-if its warm enough, rent a waverunner on lake mead

4. Go down to Fremont Street and see the light shows. There are usually 3 or 4 different shows, starting after dark (about 8:30PM) and lasting about 5 or 10 minutes each.

5. Go to the RIO hotel to see the Masquerade in the Sky show. It is like Mardi Gras parade, only suspended from the ceiling over the gambling floor. It runs every 60 minutes starting about 3:00 PM; the last show starts at 9:30 PM..

6. Go to the MGM Grand hotel to see the Lion habitat. This is better then the tiger habitat at the Mirage Hotel because there are usually trainers in with lions to keep them active.

7. Go to the Mirage hotel to see the white tigers that Siegfried and Roy show used. This is kinda passe because the tigers rarely do anything but sit and stare.

8. Go in Caesars Palace and walk through the Forum shops to the first fountain (its spectacular) then take the first fork to the left to go see the aquarium. Then continue on through the shops to the second fountain and wait for the show to start.

9. Go into the Flamingo hotel to see their animal habitat with flamingos and penguins.

10 The Excalibur hotel also has a free show starting at 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM.

If you are a Star Trek Fan, go to the Hilton (off the strip) for "Star Trek The Experience"; it cost about $25.
