John is traveling to a meeting that is 28 miles away. He needs to be there in 30 minutes. How fast does he need to go to make it to the meeting on time?

distance=speed*time
speed=distance/time
speed = 28/0.5 (30min=0.5hrs)
speed=56mph Ans

Has to be 56mph

In 1 hour @ 56 mph you would travel 56 miles

Therefore in 1/2 hour you would travel (56miles / 2 ) = 28 miles

The answer is 56 mph. If he goes 56 miles in 60 minutes he will go 28 miles in 30 minutes. its that easy

Convert your time to hours.
