The question is whether or not you need bullpen help. Francisco Cordero will probably net you 30-35 saves, though he's going to have his down times. I think Beltran puts up better numbers than Sizemore. So I wouldn't make this trade unless you needed bullpen help. You should also considering picking up people off the waiver wire (Adam Wainwright, Octavio Dotel?)

Yes - Sizemore could put up better numbers than Beltran this year and you also get Cordero included.

Sizemore for Beltran is debatable - both are late first early second round picks - but getting Cordero included is just icing on the cake.

Maybe throw in Chad Cordero... Beltran is looking to increase his speed numbers this year so he may have an upside putting him further ahead of Sizemore. Cordero's WHIP is nagging and his motion looks a little forced at times. But what really bugs me about Cordero is why Texas wanted to get rid of him after saving 49 and 37 in consecutive years.
If he stalls at all, less than a year ago his back up was in the allstar game before he blew up.

If you need saves there will be 9 or 10 that get the job later that won't cost you this much.
No deal.....

I would say why not. You get a decent closer. and Your not loseing much on Sizemore for Beltran. I almost would do Beltran for Sizemore strait up but your also getting Cordero as a kicker. Great trade.

I traded sizemore for beltran last year and I would do it again in a heartbeat..I think beltran will have a even better year this year,he plans on running more which will only increase his value...unless your in desperate need of bullpen help I would not do this...

Unless you really need help in your bullpen with Cordero and you have just as good or better OF's in your lineup. I don't think you should trade Beltran. I expect big numbers from him this year. Good Luck

If you're hurting for a closerr, I would take that trade. If you already got a soild closer, decline.
