I'm taking 15 hours of college, and work around 40 hours a week. School is important to me, so I study a lot during the times I'm not working. But, it seems like when I stop to take a breath, there is noone around. Am I working too hard, or taking things too seriously? I have some definite goals that I'm working toward, but lately I've been thinking its not worth it.

Maybe you could schedule coffee with your colleagues. Discuss your class or something. Go to a play or something that relates to your studies, while you are studying, you will be having some sort or social life with people that have the same interests.

I applaud you for working hard towards your goals and you should never let anything get in the way of your goals...it will all pay off later. However I don't think that means you shouldn't have some friends and a little of a social life.
Maybe you should manage your time better. For instance, maybe form a study group for some of the classes you take, so that way you can meet people and maybe while your study breaks you can talk. Then when there is a break from school or there isn't as much work to do, maybe you can use the extra time to hang out with these friends for a while.

You need to make some time in your schedule for a social life. It's difficult but it can be done (I've done between 9 and 15 hours a semester in addition to working 40+ hour weeks). Maybe you even need to rethink your school schedule next semester and cut down to 12 (you are still considered a FT student at 12 credit hours). How good are your grades? Is your work suffering at all? Have your friends all dropped out on you because you haven't had time for them in so long???

If you could cut back on work a little that would probably be good, but don't quit school. Maybe you should set aside a time each week to call up a buddy to go do something. The hard work will definitely be worth it, though it's hard right now.

Your goals are worth it. Never give up on them.
Schedule a date with friends once a week. Maybe an afternoon shopping and lunch thing, or bowling a few lanes, or whatever is happening in your area..
If you can't find friends to do things with, take time to yourself. Go for a walk when the weather is good, Or shopping, or take a class in watercolor painting or ceramics or something.
You can't study all the time. Take that scheduled break. It refreshes mind and body.

That depends. Are you happy living the life you living? Only you know if you taking things too seriously and the fact that you asking that question suggests that you probably are. You will start to feel your dreams aren't worth it if you haven't got balance in your life so perhaps a social life would be a good place to start, even if you only do something social once a week. It will help you relax and enjoy life for what it's really about- our relationships with people.

That is a personal choice you have to make. I can say that you can cut half way back on your school so you have more free time to meet and hang out with friends, but it will take you twice as long to finish school. I honestly think that you are probably young, and these are suppose to be the best times of your life and you are suppose to be having fun. Then again, I admire you for being so determined to reach your goals. I am sure that you will reach them before anyone that you ever would have made friend with would.

it is worth it! when your right on the top you can go and have fun with friends..but you have to know when your on top because if you don't you will be right there and your going to keep wanting more and working more & never be happy..for right now it' sok to sacrifice some things so you can live a happy life and not worry about it in the future*good luck
