We recovered her, but the neighbor has given us the evil eye ever since.

YES! When I was 8 someone stole my purebred golden retriever from my front yard. My godmother gave me that dog when he was first weaned, he was a beautiful dog and had just turned a year old.

My brother found him chained up in a yard about 3 blocks from my house. But the scary man that lived there denied it and said it was his dog so my mom backed down.

Dognapping is so wrong.

yes someone took my dog while she was out side going potty, the woman that took her said she was in the road, the road is at the bottom of a steep incline so no way my little dog could have gotten down in the road. we got her back by calling all the vets to see if anyone had brought a little dog in that they had found, it just happened that the woman that took my dog took her to the vet to get shots and to get groomed she had no intentions of finding the owners. we got her back after we paid the lady back $100 for the vet visit "ransom" we called it the lady brought our dog to us her hair was so short that you couldn't even tell it was our dog when you first looked at her now she is safe and no longer goes potty in the spot that she was taken from

good luck

ohh, no, that's AWFUL. Catcats don't go outside, so they are safe, except from the guys the landlord sends around, and they won't take them, in fact, they're scared of the black one. lol - he's the one that WON'T hurt them! My friend's Pug was taken a couple of years ago...and then they took him to *her* vet and dumped him! Apparently, he wasn't as sweet as they thought. (He's a cross between a Tasmanian Devil and PacMan!).

I suspect one was when I was 14, but we have no way of knowing for sure. We never saw him again and we moved shortly thereafter.

How long ago was your baby petnapped?

I actually used to steal my neighbours dogs.
I used to wash them and dye their cute little coats strange colours and then replace them before they got home from work.
It was most amusing!!
