These are unwanted pictures. I share a computer with a roommate so needless to say the pictures are of adult content. Please help!

another way to permanently get rid of them is when you find them, click the file once, hold SHIFT, and then hit DELETE. this bypasses the recycle bin and they are gone forever!!

You have some good advice to take care of the images, there will also be cookies from wherever the pics were gathered, you might want to go back through and eliminate those as well. There are programs that remove the evidence of this kind of use but the trouble is that they also delete all the history of your browsing, etc so you have to go back to all your appropriate places on the web and reset those cookies.

A bigger issue I would think, is dealing with the roommate. If the computer belongs to the roommate, you have no right to touch anything on the computer, including his downloaded material or his settings. If it is your machine, then you do have the right to set guidelines and ask him to respect this. If he doesn't, you can always forbid him to use the computer and put a password on it.

If the machine is truly shared...and this is unlikely...ONE of you likely bought the machine...but if it is shared, then you can set up separate desktops and each run your own, then log off and on for whoever is using it. You can also password protect any single folder to keep this kind of material from popping up on you. If you stumble on a folder with a password, you know not to hack it because you will be offended by the stuff inside.

If this can't be resolved with one computer, I would say that the high road is to either surrender your computer to him, buy a new one of your own that he is not allowed to use, or let him worry about how to surf with out you by forbidding him to use yours and reformat the whole machine.

Do note that no content is ever truly GONE, it can be recovered. It is somewhere on the hard drive and can be accessed if you know how...so if you are that disturbed by these images, you can't just delete them and empty the bin.

Hawaii does not use AFRICA to describe someone's race. yet it somewhat is in this modern-day fabricated replica. Plus, the signature of the two usual practitioner and Ann are an identical (as I reported in a prior submit).
