from being used on campus...yes or no?

Just want to get opinions, because I read an article about how some colleges were blocking social networking sites.

Its all blocked here at work too. the reason it is blocked is for network secruity. Those sites/programs are the easiest way to come in contact with virsues. It would only take one wrong download for something in myspace and the whole college network could go down or everyone's personal information get stolen.

It is at my college, except a couple of the ones in the library.
There was a controversy at my school. because one of the professors used it to "harass" some of the prep students.
-my school has a part for highschool students.

But in general a college/university without people under 18 should not be worried about leaving that unblocked.

I don't think they should. MySpace sucks but if you're paying to go to college then it's up to you if you wanna waste your time or not.
