It works a lot of the time..it depends on the womans body and the baby...if u are already 3 cm dialated and and your mucous plug has passed then it should be any day..i would say no longer than a week...once u hit 4 cm u will be immediately admitted to the labor and delivery ward..good luck and congrats!!

When I was pregnant with my first, I was about 2cm dialated for about a week and a half. On a Thursday night, I lost my mucus plug and that following Sunday I delivered my daughter.

Usually once your mucus plug is gone, it's only a matter of time before labor begins. However, you could still have a couple of more days or a couple of more hours!

Good luck :)

I'm pregnant with my third and they did that with my 1st. I lost my mucus plug when I was around 6-7 months along thats normal. but with the stretching that usually does it . I went into labor appr. 2 days later after they stretched me. The mucus plug really has nothing to do with anything. And you could be dialated at 3cm for weeks. With my 2nd I was dialted at 5cm for a week and a half but after they stretch you it goes pretty quickly. Hope thats helpfull the last week seems like forever but when that time comes it's amazing.

you'll be loosing your plug...even nevertheless, it may take many days after that formerly the infant comes. At 34 weeks, if the infant grew to become into born, it would in all probability be ok. comparable with dilating, it does not advise you've gotten the infant genuine away. everybody is diverse. If a 6 month pregnant female could have a wholesome infant, im specific yours would be in basic terms wonderful.

The doctor tried to strip your membranes. Some women begin to have contractions in 24 to 48 hours. If contractions become regular (every 5 minutes) and stronger call your doctor.

I had my membranes stripped with my 1st and after I started cramping. Then about 6 hours later I was having contractions 5 min apart and had my son the next day. Sounds like you are getting close..I hope it works for you!!!!!

Congrats!!

My guess is that you will probably begin labor within the next 24 hours. With my first they stripped my membranes on Friday afternoon. The next morning I lost my plug, then around noon contractions started. Congratulations! You will be holding your new baby soon :)

Sounds like you could go in labor anytime. Just remember the more active you stay, the faster it will come. get a burst of energy, and clean away or walk even. Good Luck!!!!!! Mom of seven

All normal.

How long? Well, I was a week later. Everyone is different. The one that knows for sure is the baby, and they don't tell a thing.

Just be patient. When it is time, you will know. . .

Good luck!!
