I believe communism is a bad thing. god forbid i ever lived in such a government. communism is so unrealistic. put it this way: you studied many years and got your degree. next to a lazy, drugie person, you guys are equal!!!! how lovely. equal salary, equal food, equal everything!!! If it was such a great government, why are Cuban people escaping their own country? If you support communism and are living in a capitalist country, then what the heck are you doing there?? Move to Cuba or China. LOL "We are so happy because our government tells us we are all equal and treats us all equal." Probably what a person living in a Communist nation would say. Like they say. communism only looks good in paper, but put to practice, its quite a different story.

It is death of personal freedom and responsibility and the beginning of systemic failure due to the educated going some place where they will be rewarded.

The Berlin Wall collapsed. Soviet Union imploded. "Communist" China is only communist in name but is one of the largest capitalist country on earth. These are the evidence of the failure of the communist system. The noble ideals of Communism popular in the first half of the 20th century have already being proved as bankrupt, unworkable ideas that the most hard-cored among the communists (Deng Xiao Peng, Gorbachev to name a few) have given up and are forced to reforme/restructure their economies so that their people have better life. Some may not admit that their system is a failure but their actions will suggest otherwise.

Yes, some hardcore like Fidel Castro in Cuba and Kim Jong Il of North Korea will never give up, but it is a matter of time before these countries will finally change - either as a result of a forced regime change or by external influences/coercion.....

I agree with no need for a name, no society is perfect and no economic system is without inherent flaws (capitalism included).

Recognize that even the US does not have pure capitalism. There are millions of laws and restrictions on how business and manufacturing is conducted, reflecting the reality that commerce does not regulate itself in a manner that is in the best interest of its consumers and the general public.

The way it's historically been put into practice hasn't worked so well, but that's because it's been imposed on the citizens from the politicians who are adept a finding exemptions for themselves. The citizens never had faith in it, and without that commitment it's doomed to fail from the start. There is/was a great deal of corruption, which has also always been the case with capitalism or republics.

I believe that you are confusing an economic system for a political system. You're also missing the point of communism that everyone gets basic needs met, not that a man with a degree deserves the same life as a dropout.

I feel the same about Communism as the late, great President Ronald Reagan. Communism is evil and the most destructive force that the world has seen to this point. Under communism 10's of millions have been exterminated because they had expressed the right to disagree or want freedom.
Communism is not about equal rights, or equality of anything but poverty. In America, a Democratic Republic, we have the right of free speech, free expression, and the right to vote for the government we want. We have the right to use capitalism to make a better life if we choose to, and the individual drive of an individual is all that is required. Communism believes that the government is key to everything, and it is the master of the people. We believe that the people control the government. I like it that way.

Both democracy and communism are quickly loosing merit however communism has a far greater history through the span of time. Democracy is still relatively new by comparison however it will soon be replaced by something else.

As for quality of life, and who should have such a priviledge these factors need to be assessed on an individual basis when considering infants born addicted to crack, alcohol or other forms of substances deemed unsafe by the food and drug administration or physicians and surgeons.

As for the war on drugs and or terrorism there are many victims that need compensation and it is in this way your statement falls apart.

One should be able to submit insurance claims against negligent birth parents who compromise a child's quality of life. No different than that of an intoxicated parent behind the wheel of a car, these kids deserve compensation for life.

Instead the government does not want the added expense and moderates the infant by discrediting its worth at the point of conception.

Its a process and a cycle that could easily be shifted to insurance companies where the majority of insecurities could be resolved at this level and prevent teen crime.

Insurance claims would secure an otherwise insecure teen who may or may not be capable of maintaining full time employment in their future.

Finally insurance claims would act as a deterent to drug and alcohol users considering pregnancy and the procreation of inadequate life forms.

I say fetal alcohol syndrome should be changed to fetal alcohol victim.

You don't believe in equality? Equal Rights? Equal pay for equal work? Equal rights to health care? Equal treatment among religion, gender, genetic variation, country origin? Equality is crazy isn't it?
You are right. Communism hasn't worked so well. I won't go into why, but no system of government has proved to be perfect. Democracy sounds great, but I havn't seen a democratic government work too well either. The USA is not a democratic country. It is more like an oligarchy under the guise of democracy.
Now, an interesting political philosophy that might be of interest to you is that of John Rawls, check it out.

In a perfect world I think Communism or Socialism would work fine, but unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world. That is why I agree with you that it looks good on paper, but in reality cannot be carried out without flaw. Our world is too focuses on the individual and people are greedy for it to work.
