If the scratches just scuff the paint and do not cut through and make gouges removing the paint, then you will be paying minimal. Ask that she take it to a "Paintless Dent Remover" place. In one day they can buff out the problem areas and clear coat so that no one could ever tell there was a problem. That has a price of about $100. If she goes to a regular body shop then by the time they are done masking the car, possibly removing the bumper, and paint matching you are talking about close to $800.

Depends on the vehicle, the size and depth of the scratch, and where she chooses to have it repaired. Could be anywhere from $50 to $2500. The first would involve simply buffing the paint, and the latter might be a bumper replacement at the dealer if it is an expensive vehicle.

Go to http://www.rockauto.com and look up the person's car and then look under Body Exterior and "Bumper Cover". That is the plastic part of the bumper visible on the outside. Earlier writers are correct that it could cost from $26 to hundreds of dollars depending on what car it is.

I admire you for taking the responsibility to fix this situation, not a lot of people would do that. As far as how much it would cost, it would depend on how bad the bumper is, does it need to be replaced, or is it something that can be just primered and repainted?? Again, you are awesome for taking such responsibility.

It really depends on the place where she is going to take it to get fixed. The type of paint is really the deciding factor, say for example if they will use DuPont's "Chomabase" or the cheaper alternative "Nason". Nason is alot cheaper BUT may not matchup correctly, Chromabase is more expensive BUT will matchup perfectly. Also the extent of the damage will vary from shop to shop as to how much they will charge to fix it. My advice is to go get pictures of the damage, then YOU go around to several bodyshops and show them the pics to get an idea, without knowing the type of car, I would assume 300-500 dollars.

Welcome to the world of plastic bumpers. Minor touch up might only be $50. but it's much more likely a shop will insist on replacing the bumper cover and maybe the whole damn thing itself, in which case you're talking $500 to $1,500.

i own a shop and this should cost around 300 to paint and repair ,unless they decide to jack the price up on it,but normal cost on a job like this would only cost around 300 to fix back,so id at least expect it to be that much,if shes an honest person she wont have them raise the price up any more, good luck with it,hope this helps.
