...Now the race is on and here comes pride up the back stretch...
heartaches a goin' to the inside...
...my tears are holding back,
tryin' not to fall...
The best thing any candidate should do is lay low at first. The less time anyone has to spin the better off they will look. Also, polemicists and non-elected persons are only attacked because they are easy targets which they can use as weapons against the real candidates. Somehow they manage to spin the idea that anything someone in their party says, the candidate is then responsible for. It's crap. But that's a political race for you!
...My heart's out of the running...
true love scratched for another's sake...
...the race is on and it looks like heartaches...
and the winner loses all...

I think the Republicans may have learned something in the last election. Most of the Democrats won the last election with moderates. In order for the Republicans to win the next one they'll have to nominate a moderate like Rudy, who will be running against a moderate like Barack or Hillary. Coulter, Rush, Libby, Rove are all extremists so there are bound to be a lot of postings about them.

Yes. He's smart enough to just sit on the sidelines and let his lead over McCain grow. The more the opponents bash each other the weaker they'll be if they have to face a "fresh" Giuliani.
The trouble with that strategy is that his opponents won't stand by and let that happen much longer. They see this too, and the guns are starting to turn already.
Both Republican and Democratic guns!

We could do MUCH worse than Rudy.
I saw New York before he was mayor, and after - what an improvement!
He's abrasive and NOT charismatic, unless you find his refusal to "make nice" and pander attractive.
I hope he doesn't change!
PS Once Rudy was mayor, you could use the restrooms in Penn Station, even for a #2! Only New Yorkers can appreciate how big an accomplishment that was. I'm serious.

There was a conservative on Fox news last night that said the reason Rudy has a huge lead is because of name recognition. He said that a conservative organization (can't remember the name) did a poll where people chose Rudy over McCain 40-29%. He said after the people being polled were told that Rudy was on his third marriage, was pro-gun control, and was pro-choice, the numbers completely switched around. My point is the same point he was making. Once the real campaigning starts, Rudy is gonna drop like a stone.

It is still very early. in fact, the is probably the earliest that any candidates have ever declared themselves to be in the race. Rudy seems to be avoiding most of the tough questions so far. He is getting some good and some bad press, mostly over his well publicized affair and later divorce, followed by a marriage to the woman he had the affair with. His strongest poit is that he just happened to be the mayor of New York on 9/11, 2001 and was seen as a strong mayor at the time. New Yorkers were ready to run him out of town on a rail before that. I really think his flash will dim early and he will fall off the campaign wagon. Republicans are so far short on dynamic candidates.

Yes I have noticed, but I am not concerned about it. I am a conservative Republican for the most part and might be considered an evangelical. However, I already knew the negatives about Giuliana. Nobody needs to spin it for me. I am more interested in what kind of leader he would make, whether he will fight socialism and freedom and etc. I am watching and I think that is what most Republicans are doing.

I'm a Democrat and I actually like both of those Republican candidates.
I wouldn't mind McCain or Gulliani and think they are the only 2 that have a chance for the Republicans.

For one element, potential matters are hitting human beings of their pocketbook so whilst Hillary asks a question on option potential it engages greater human beings. Obama's question replaced into somewhat greater precis: the thank you to get greater human beings engaged in politics? i don't think of that a lot of human beings care approximately that particular concern as is does not result human beings immediately.

Maybe Rudy is playing, the Rudy from the first season of survivor. He just sat back, kept quiet and let the other do as you have said.
