We would like to buy a tv series dvd set that only play on recorders that are region1 or multi region. According to our instructions for the sony player type SLV-D980PG1 it is only compatible with series2

For Sony DVD player you need special remote and special code from the remote to open region code.
If you have friend working there maybe you can ask for help.

You actually can, I did it for my Bose region2 DVD player.
I just tried doing some research for you and on a forum somebody asked the same question as you and somebody responded by saying Sony doesn't give out the required code to anyone.
It's possible with other DVD players though.

You can do it but you will need an unlocking code for your dvd player. Try www.dvdcodes.net

just keep the fish in there and use the VCR as a fish tank. There big enough!!
