Wise. People with just book-smarts are educated idiots...they need to exercise that knowledge and thus it becomes wisdom. I think that is part of the problem with modern education. They emphasis that you must know little trival factoids instead of taking that knowledge a step further. School should help a child build wisdom...not knowledge. The last thing we need in this world is a bunch of Jeopardy contestants.

If you are wise you are smart but if you are smart, you are not always wise. I would be wise, then I would be both wise and smart.

I would say both in thier own way. To be smart you have to be dedicated to learn. To be wise you take the things you learned and address them to your life. Wise comes from experience, and the ability to spread that experience to others.

they're both important. others may prefer wise because it will help you get through life but i don't really agree, my sisters are very successful by just being smart.
