sounds like the problem is with your television. (so perhaps this question should be under televisions) But make sure that you disable the PIP on your tv. Just click the PIP button on the remote. You might be viewing the wrong video channel on your television. Generally if it appears in the PIP window, it means that it's on a different channel from the one that you are turned into. So flick through your different video channels on your tv until you find it.

Well, since it happens with both the computer and your playstation leads me to believe it is a problem with your television.

You should try it on another tv, or you could try going into the monitor control panel when the TV is on "the main window" and disable the tv, then re-enable the TV to see if that refreshes the signal. You could also hit the Function button (The little blue, purple or orange "Fn" button on the keyboard) and then hit the "CRT/LCD" or the button that looks like a little monitor (usually the F7 key). Hit it a couple of times and it might refresh the signal as well.

If nothing works, then you either need a new TV or you need to take it in to get it fixed. Since it is a 29" tv, it may not be cost effective to get it fixed.

Your display settings on the computer is not correctly set!
You right click on the lap top's screen and go to properties then choose settings.
From settings click Advanced tab and go to display settings and try the combinations. I don't know what type graphic card have on your laptop but this is the basic to troubleshoot this problem. And most of the Windows work this way unless there is special software exist.
