You have a ground problem. Chase the ground wire(s) for the left front, and make sure there are no broken wires, and the ground has a good, clean connection.

The turn signal flasher relay operates on resistance. The bulbs also have resistance. If the bulb you put in has a significantly different resistance than the bulb on the other side, the signal is bouncing back and forth to the flasher relay at a different speed. Your headlights voltage resistence or ground resistence may be amplifying this difference dramatically, which based on the original problem you had, it is.

is it the right bulb? Or check the connection again, on a lot of vehicles the turn signal will blink really quickly if there is a problem with the bulb

i own a shop and you need to check the ground wire that comes off each socket,it goes up several inches, and then has a ground on it,this may be broken off, also check the wires that go to the socket, real good ,that's about all i can tell you other than make sure you put the right wattage of bulb back in it,good luck,i hope this helps.

i am not going to answer this question, but i wish to offer you something else. have a mechanic or someone sheck the engine cradle on the drivers side. . this car has a nasty habit of rustung out on the rear leg of the A frame. it CAN drop your front wheel if it gets too bad. cradles on the earlier models were cheap metal, or made in mexico. check it out . no harm in it.
