I cruised out of my body several times. Without having to get near death. Pretty cool.
The best was sleeping outside in new zealand once. I woke up, looked down and saw that I was half out of my sleeping body, from the waist up, sitting upright. The legs were still inside laying down in my sleeping body.
Someone or something was pushing me out by my shoulders. I then went (was pulled to) several distinctly different places, then I felt my body waking up and freaking out or something, and was yanked immediately back in!

You mean an out of body expirience? I never had a brush with death, but I've had something similar to an out of body expirience. I remember waking up and going through my home, I decided that it was time for me to retire, so I went to my chamber. someone was in my bed, and when I removed the blanket, it was me. It is a strange feeling, like being in a dream. It seems like a blur.

It is called astral projection, or astral traveling if you travel.

It is like a dream.

I believe the bible made reference to it by saying that you are attached by a silver cord, which means that it feels like you are connected to your physical body with kind of like a bungee cord. You can travel to where ever on earth or elsewhere you like, but when you awake you will come flying back like the snapping back on a bungee cord and you wake up.

You can first recognize this when you are floating up in the right corner of the room looking down at your body, and you also will here a clapping when you wake up.

The thing is that it is spiritually draining and it will make you extremely tired, so if you are doing this when you sleep and are not really aware of it, you will find yourself waking to a clapping sound and extremely drained when you've gotten a good nights sleep.

My experience is you do not have to have a near death experience to be "outside" your body. Anyone can astro travel by simply asking to do it and remember what, where, and who they astro traveled with. I have done this and I was skeptical at first, but, it is true it does work. Sylvia Browne explains it the best check into it. I did remember vivid details...you can visit anyone that has passed on. LL.

I nearly died as a kid from penicillin shock. I remember wondering why the people in the emergency room were so excited, and then watching them recede from me, as if I were moving backward down a long dark hallway. My body felt like it was floating, and I could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Then they brought me back.

No, but many of my family members have. One was in surgery, one was close to death, and another one routinely leaves his body while sleeping.
