me and my best friend used to go out,(im a girl and hes a guy) & Now sometimes when im with him he'll be hugging me and stuff,and flirts, and other times he'll be calling me names. like the other day he said i reminded him of a character off lord or the rings. My mom thinks he still likes me, but i dont know. why does he act like that?

He could only be acting like that if he stills has feelings for you. The reason he's all flirty and everything is cause he still likes you but the reason he calls you names is because ya'll are suppose to be friends so that's what he's trying to act like. In his mind he thinks that you only want to be friends and that is why he calls you names and things and tr y to hide the fact that he really likes you alot. If you like him I would recommend that you give him a shot to be your boyfriend, if not then I recommend you tell him that you only want to be friends and nothing more than that.

coz he still likes you . He do likes you coz you can getalong very nicely with him. You act like his bestfriend at the same time.
He do want to treat you as a girlfriend too, thats why his flirting with you. Just take it easy, if you do love him just go ahead. Coz of you nice being together.

lol what do you mean "still likes you" .. when did that even start?? if your going to ask a question be sure about your story... you gave us half of it... but if your confused about it... then maybe you should start talking to another guy and see what happens then... or just grow up and ask the guy how he feels if your into him....if your not then just move on and keep him as a friend....

when you have best friends that are the opposite sex things like this happen!!! He might like you but maybe your friends ship is more important. And remember you cant understand guys!

He might have feelings for you and that is the only way he can act to hide them.
Why don't you just ask him why he acts that way towards you because he hurts your feelings.

he's probably acting weird b/c he wants to get you to like him and then is frustrated that you don't. guy/girl friendships are hard.
