that's kind of an OK answer the number one question is "does he poo"? compaction is a blockage either in the large or small intestine. this will inhibit them from defecating it should affect their diet also. no eating no poo-ing good chance of impaction. get him to a vet. eating and poo-ing. not impacted. this is all not to be confused with binding. binding is when a female is unable to push the egg out of her body. no she does not have to be around a male to have eggs they just won't be fertile. both will almost certainly lead to death. if you are not sure give him a warm bath and massage the stomach region this will sometimes loosen up a hard stool. but if in any doubt get him to a vet.

they stop eating, become extremely lethargic, and start to have their colours dull. take it to the vet to find out for sure. if you were feeding it crickets that fit between its eyes (size wise) it shouldn't have become impacted. if it is you will have to feed it meal worms for a while.

mommycaleb is right on, he won't really eat, or poo. He will be lethargic and he's color will dull and he's stomach may turn black and blue.
