I will name one: that we don't want women to be educated. That's untrue. If you read the last chapter of Proverbs you'll see that a good wife is anything but dumb!

i don't know if it's actually a misconception or not, but i feel that anti-feminists don't want women to have equal opportunity, don't want them to work outside the home or be able to support themselves independantly, and don't care if women get treated with equal respect or not. pretty much that they are against what feminism is for. (hence, the "anti-")

That they are all misogynists.
I have learned, however, that there are anti-feminists who deeply value women being the tenders of hearth and home, not to be servants to the master, but rather to keep the marriage healthy, which in turn provides security for children to grow up with good morals and work ethics.

Another reason to be wary of labels and stereotyping.

Feminism isn't in basic terms rights managing women, its on a sort of subjects managing sexuality, the ecosystem, racism, gender and so on. and so on. and so on. the record is going on continuously. I advise adult males could be feminists by skill of dealing with subjects relating to the enviroment and so on. with the purpose to be an anti feminist i could say you could could be a white male because of the fact they're on the perfect of the social score and that they could be against all circulation to make the international a extra perfect place in certainty.

Most, if not all, misconceptions about anti-feminists begin as lies among the feminists either as outright lies or propaganda based on lies, half-truths or innuendo.

Among these is the lie that anti-feminists, such as myself, want to restrict women's rights. This is simply untrue.
For example, draecoiram's answer is typical for feminists. She did not claim it to be true but used innuendo to make it appear true. Anti-feminists such as I am have no desire to restrict women’s rights other than to achieve true equality; we have no desire to keep women at home, dependent or unemployed. I am not anti-equality, hence the anti-“feminist” title, denoting that ‘feminism’ is sexist and denotes bias.

Anti-feminists are simply against organized (gender biased) feminism. Feminism is devoted to furthering the aims and goals of only women, not about equality, fairness or bettering society but for gaining rights and advancements for some women at a cost to men and children and even other women; society as a whole.

Anti-feminists simply realize that in an attempt to give women equal rights to that of men, legislation and social viewpoints have gone far beyond equal to the point that inequality is as bad as ever but on different subjects and the roles have been reversed.
Where women were denied certain rights in the past, men are being denied certain rights today.

For example, in the past women were denied the right to vote, today men are denied reproductive rights that women freely enjoy yet feminism is striving for even more privilege in that area.

Where certain jobs for women were restricted in the past, today with affirmative action, men are restricted in many jobs based on their sex.

Feminism demands that equal numbers of women and men fill legislative, judicial, executive and other higher paid and powerful positions while ignoring that there are few, if any females occupying the dirty and dangerous positions. It is not about equality, it is about ‘equantity’ in the higher paying and more powerful positions based not on ability but on sex, which is supposed to be what feminism is against. Even a child can see the rampant sexism that is feminism.

Family law is another good example of rampant anti-male sexism. Anyone who denies it is blind, sexist or stupid; perhaps all three.

Anti-feminists like me are against sexism and that is a dangerous idea for those who promote it.

Word: antifeminism
n
activity indicative of belief in the superiority of men over women
Gender is a social construct.
Most social scientists distinguish gender from sex. Gender roles are not biologically determined, but vary acording to culture and epoch, and even for individuals during the course of their lives. Gender roles are consequently described by social scientists as socially constructed. Most of the behaviour associated with gender is learned rather than innate. People learn what sorts of behaviour and personality are regarded in their cultural context as appropriate for males or females.

Even within a culture masculinity and femininity may be defined differently by various groups, in particular according to ethnicity, age, social class and sexuality. In this sense there is no single masculinity or femininity, but rather multiple masculinities and femininities. Not all men are 'leaderlike', 'aggressive', 'assertive', 'independent', 'risk-taking' and so on; and not all women are 'affectionate', 'gentle', 'sympathetic', 'dependent', 'emotional', 'nurturing' etc. Such qualities are found in varying degrees in most people.

But all men and all women are aware of the cultural prevalence of traditional gender stereotypes, and television contributes to this awareness. Sex roles involve cultural expectations, such as that men will seek achievement and dominance, and that women will be compliant and supportive. The relationship of individuals to these expectations often involves tensions.

Feminism has long since stopped fighting for equality, and now focuses on fighting for making things pro-female. I feel that the current trend of anti-feminism is people hitting the breaks and asking themselves, "When did we cross the line and become what we fought against?"

That they are women-haters. Just because you are anti-feminist does not mean you hate women.
