becuase it should be!!!! I can't believe how many talentless pukes got this far in the competition Other than 2 or 3 people at best, the rest of them sound like horrible Karioke singers!!! Its time to cancel this show!

It's the highest rated show on TV - nobody would even think of cancelling it.
I believe the judges have contracts for at least another 3 or 4 years.

I have to say that the this season has a real divide between the quality of the singers, males and females. There are definate competitors amongst the women though as far as the male singers and going by the sound of their voices (as opposed to merely looks), I basically only having a liking for one of the guys -- that cool but pleasant sounding beat boxer ;)
I do think that they eliminated one too many of potentially excellent contestants such as that girl who sorta reminded me of Melissa Etheridge (w/ an earring in lip) and then that other girl who's African-American and auditioned with two other friends while on skates. I was hoping that they would have a wild card show like they used to. Perhaps they will get approached by a music producer after seeing them on the early auditions of Idol.

I agree. The show sucks. I have watched most of the seasons, but this one I can't even get into. The producers of American Idol should have quit while they were on top. Now when the show ends everyone is going to think of it as horrible.....

yea i agree ..this year its seems to be more like a popularity or best looking competition than a singing competition...and u know what gets me mad ..if ur gonna kick out other past contestants for racy photos then no one should be an exception..what makes anotonella so different? why cause shes thin and she aint black!!! but u know what they gonna keep the show going cause they have millions of viewers..

I only watched the first 2 seasons, but 50 million people are tuning in every week so I think there will be probably more to come. I think it's sad and obvious that the show is creating controversy so more people will tune in.
