It costs $200 to cancel my service with Sprint. I want Verizon to credit a new wireless account with them for the $200. Will they bend? Who should I negotiate with, store level or Verizon by phone?

No they won't. Their new contract even says YOU are responsible for cancellation fees if you port your number.

Actually, it costs them money to set up your account and they give you the new cell phone for way less than it actually costs (that's why they are so much more expensive without a contract). They actually take a hit when they sign a new customer with the idea that you will stay a customer and they will recoup their initial loss.

unless you got some good connection with the people who work for verizon then chances are it won't happen.
