I am a 22 year old female and husband is 30. I went to the doc and he started infertility workup. He did a pap and looked under the microscope in the office and deemed me infertile. I haven't started my fertility meds yet, but supposed to start March 21st. He says it may have been due to birth control that I took, (Depo Provera) but I haven't taken that for one year. My cycle was due 3 days ago, i have felt horrible for the past 4 days.I have all of the symptoms that I had with my 5 year old daughter. (nausea, weight gain, unexplained hunger, heartburn, back pain, etc). What should I do? Get a test or disregard because the doc said I was not ovulating?

take the test. My best friend in High School was told she'd never have kids because of an ovary problem and other health issues in the female reproductive system.

Guess what? she has 3 kids now...

In fact, she wasn't using anything (protection wise) with her husband because, well, they didn't think they'd have kids. Well, was the first one a surprise! Then, they thought well no way twice... and then there was a second... by the third child they figured OK, we're fertile. lol.

Point is, doctors can be and sometimes...sometimes often...are wrong. No one can truly predict mother nature...

Your symptoms could also be hormone related so if you're not pregnant, go back to the doctors and tell them what's going on BEFORE taking the fertility treatment. Otherwise they'll think that's what did it.

Strange if your doc said you were infertile and you end up pregnant. In that case run not walk to another doctor for your care. I hope you are pregnant - go and get a test done - like now!

TAKE A TEST.

(PS a PAP tests for cervical cancer which doesn't make you infertile. You need to have a better discussion with your doctor, or preferrably a new doctor because so far as I know all PAPs are read by pathologists.)

If so dance a little ,,,if not be happy or sad or whatever it is that you wanna feel....then you will feel a lot better because it wont be weighing on your mind all day!!! good luck

It could be, or it could be that you are so stressed that it's hard to function.

The best thing I can tell you is to take the test and find out. Right now take the test. Doctor's can always be wrong.
