It is completely impossible to prevent volcanoes. While it might be possible to delay an eruption, this would only delay the inevitable and probably make the eruption more violent than it would have otherwise been.

Volcanic eruptions are necissary. If it weren't for volcanoes there would be no continents, there would be no atmosphere, and there would be no life on this planet. So go down to your local volcano and give it a big hug.

A big NO
Its one of the natural processes within the earth's interior.
A geodynamic process that creates new rocks to be eroded later on or to get consumed at subduction zones.
Man cannot do anything to stop it. Mitigation would be restricted to re-settle population away from active volcanoes fronts and from possible volcanic centers even if they are dormant for centuries.

No, they cannot be prevented. The effects, ie lava flow can be directed away from places of habitation. The people of Iceland, who's land is located at the top of the midadlantic rift and very active with several volcanoes, have learned to control the lava flow by constructing berms.

No, volcanoes are formed when the tatonic plates move and lava from the center of the earth escapes, there is no way we can control this. The Hawiian Islands were formed as the tatonic plates moved, there is scientific data showing just how it occurs.

i dont think that volcanoes can be prevented but people can be saved from the destruction by moving away from the volcano areas and in this way, their life and properties can be saved.

we really can't escape that big chunk of rock you know.. all we can do is to have the predictions done by volcanologists and scientists. and if they provide those info, PLEASE.. do not ignore them.. Just as to what happened in the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991, people living near the volcano ignore PHILVOCS with their predictions.
