I wonder if resentment over this "Top Contributor" thing, will get some of us more thumbs-downs and less best answers? I see so many ppl saying: I don't one! too much competition, this is stupid, n on n on.... Some with the badge r even apologizing for having it!

I don't think it will change anything. The people with higher point levels usually post better questions and answers. You guys rock, keep it up! Maybe I will get there one of these days. lol!

I don't resent it at all, but I don't understand the point of it. I guess Big Daddy Yahoo wants to show his sensitive side. No, I don't think people will be so small as to give a thumbs down just because they see a little orange banner.

I don't pay attention to my thumbs up or down, I do like getting best answers though, but it's not a big deal to me.

I think it's silly.
We could start a campaign to encourage people not to vote for "top contributors".

I really don't care either way. I just go on Answers to pass time, it's not a big part of my life.

i hate to think there's resentment over it. hell, we had nothing to do with it. i was as surprised as anyone. i wish we had an option as to weather or not we want it displayed. all it tells people is that i spend to much time on this computer.
