Once again, we in the UK have to pay more than anyone else in the world for something!!! WHY???

I think you've almost answered your own question here!
Because in the UK we get ripped off for everything, every which way possible, and we just accept it. The Government and many companies, know that people here can afford to pay more for things and that we usually pay it without much of a fuss, as there's usually naff all we can do about it anyway.

because they know children here are spoilt and if a child demands one mummy n daddy will go to the ends of the earth to buy one!! plus us adult must have the next new thing out, have you even seen the design of the ps3?????? it looks like a toasty machine!!! ewww!!! i wouldnt pay half of what it costs to buy!!
