This happened to me. I took a store brand test and it was very light negative. I took a different test 3 days later, because I was 2 weeks late. It came up positive. I went to the health department and took one of theirs, just to be sure, and sure enough, I was pregnant. That was back in July of last year, and I'm 37 weeks now!

Yes, this has happened to me. I would take on of the ones that says "pregnant" or "Not pregnant". That way there is no second guessing. I took three of the one line or two tests and all were negative. I took the "word" ones and it basically screamed positive. Then again, remember, your body can make you believe you are pregnant, when you are really not. I went through that for two years before becoming pregnant. Good Luck.

if you had a positive test then you are positively pregnant- especially if you tested the second positive test days later. I had tested with my first child and had a very faint positive- so faint that it was barely there. I bought a different test the next day and it was darker. Each day you are pregnant the hormone levels should double making a darker line on the test. I would say that the negative test was just testing too early.

So the Equate brand had a + sign on it? If so then you probably are pregnant. I took an Equate last week and the + sign was really light..and I am pregnant. I suggest waiting a few days and retesting or going to your doctor and getting a blood test.

It is quite possible that you are going to be a mommy! After being 7 days late, especially on a sem-regular cycle would be a really good indication that you might be pregnant, and on top of the fact that the pregancy tests coming back positive, over the counter pregnancy tests may often say that you ARENT pregnant with you ARE.. but very rarely , if ever, does it say you ARE pregnant if you AREN'T.

The first test I took I thought was neg, there was a barely there 2nd line when I looked again after my positive test. I took the second one a couple days later at about 4 am and it turned positive in about 30 seconds! I never had implantation bleeding or nausea(until after the doc confirmed I was preg), my missed period was my only sign.

It sounds like you may be pregnant. I would take another test first thing in the morning. your first urine is the most consentrated with the pregnancy hormone.
most test can detect pregnancy with in 3 or 4 days before a missed periord.
but it sounds like you just may be with child :) congrats!
if you get the same signs again, i would call your OB right away (well i would call regardless as to what the outcome is) to test to see the viablity of the pregnancy or the reason you are so late.
good luck!

yes i did the same thing, I was late on my period and took a tst and it was negative, then i waited 4 days took another one and it was a very dark line saying positive, so i went to a free pregnancy test clinic and they confirmed i was pregnant. Go to a local clinic and take a test there mine was all free and confidental, they also offered me a free ultrasound.
good luck and congrats if you are pregnant !!

You can't get an accurate reading within days of impregnation.. it takes weeks for the body to start using hormones that would make the test accurate. Give it a full month those things are innaccurate unless your 4-6 weeks along.
