It's dimples, they go in, not out like pimples. The reason they don't use dimples on a truck is because it would not aid the truck. Dimples work on round oblects only (the most un-aerodynamic shape) For a truck the build it more bullet like to cut through the wind. It does not spin and there fore only needs to be designed for one direction.

If you're a golfer, you'll notice that a golf ball does not travel in a parabolic arch like any other ball. The dimples cause the ball to rise (lift) more quickly as they travel through the air.

The dimples do not reduce friction and aerodynamic drag, as much as they change the vertical path of an object flying through the air.In the case of a dimpled golf ball, it flies the farthest when launched at an angle of less than 45 degrees. Smoothly rounded projectiles fly furthest when launched at 45 degrees.

Lift is not something you want when it comes to vehicles no matter how big. If a trailer had more of the characteristics of a golf ball, it would be completely uncontrollable. In fact spoilers and aero-kits on passenger cars are designed to prevent lift. A trailer with dimples will not make it more fuel efficient, just a really really heavy object with less traction and grip on the ground.

when we transport stuff in balls by launching them toward their destinations then they will probably be dimpled , will really wreak havoc with the flying cars 'though
