Not true! Steve Rogers was an American born! He volunteered to join the Army, but when they rejected him because he was so weak and skinny, they offered him the chance to take part in a secret experiment instead. They gave him the Super Soldier serum, and the rest is history.
It is a sad thing that he was killed. Marvel should be ashamed of themselves.

this was a sissy version of captain america anyway.
The ultimates version was far far better.
This one coddled cowards like the french.
The ultimates one decried them in the now famous line:
"Surrender! Do you think this "A" on my head stands for france?!"
