I think sometimes I joke and regret what I said later and find out that it was really bad.
But sometimes , I wonder if that is the "real me" speaking or not?

what about you? why?

I must say that I totally agree with 'iain8071'.

I used to live next to this drunk - when he was sober he was a very nice guy but when he was drunk he became a neighbour from hell!

In the end things go so bad I had to move home.

Keep drink in moderate and try not to become an idiot. Take care. x

No! I just heard something like "a drunk mind speaks sober thoughts'. I totally disagree! I say some of the most ridiculous shhh....when I drink. Stuff that I would NEVER say sober comes out when I am intoxicated, and they aren't always my real thoughts or feelings!

It isn't the real you, its the you that feels like she has the power to say whats on her mind. Alot of times i will stress out over something because i want to say something, but i'm afraid it will make everything worse or that it wont go the way i planned, so i will leave things unsaid that really need to be said, yes sometimes i wish i hadn't said things in the way that i did, but i am always alittle happy that i finnally came out and said it. No matter what.

People are less inhibited after a few drinks and tend to say things they would not ordinarily say. Sometimes a whole new personality evolves... the one that doesn't care what he/she says or does. Many friendships and relationships have been damaged when alcohol gets involved. It's best to stop after two.

When I get drunk i have more of a laugh, it is still 100% me just with a little more confidence. In my case this is fun (for my friends) as normally the little voice in my head says 'don't be silly' but instead it starts thinking up fun things to do...

I've always heard this to be true but I don't know.
My exboyfriend would turn into a real jerk when he was drunk but when he didn't have alcohol in his system he was a great guy. For me, I normally a loud person but when I am drinking get very quiet and I wouldn't consider myself a quiet person normally.

Yes, that's why I've only been drunk 4 times in my life. The worlds not ready for the real me and neither am I. lol

Some people love this about me, more hate it but when I drink, I am the exact same person. No change in manners, attitude, volume or anything. This is not me talking here. My friends have all said this to me. I rarely drink now but when I do, people can't tell when I'm smashed.

I don't think that it is the "real you" that comes out when you are drunk at all. It is a "corrupted you". You say things that you would never say in a real situation. I see people as monsters that are out of our grasp when they get drunk.
