I was supposed to get my period on Monday the 5th but have yet to get it. Some people are telling me its late cause just recently i got sick, nothing like mono or anything, just a stuffy head with a slight cough. But also I have been working A LOT at work. Normally I work 40hrs a week Mon thru Friday but just recently we have been super busy. I have worked 50hrs of over time. So what the heck? Where is it?

Okay, it sounds like your extremely stressed out. Our bodies have ways of compensating for what we lack in our diet and ways to deal with stress. Unless there is a possibility your pregnant you will start your period soon enough. Look at several factors. 1. How is your health? are you under weight or over weight? 2. How is your diet? do you drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of healthy whole foods? and 3. What are your sexual practices?

If your healthy you will start your period soon enough. If your under weight or over weight your body can be hormonally off balance and your period can ciese until things are back to normal.

If our body is lacking in vitamins and minerals our body will try and pull them from other sources, such as our hair nails, skin and organs that store or supplies with those needs. Water is vital, you need water to help waste (such as a period) be removed from the body.

And sexual practices, meaning...well you know what those mean. STD's, AIDS, Pregnancy and so on.

If you miss your period for more than two cycles you should see your gynocologist to give you a pap smear and pelvic exam. Regular check up are good ways to make sure your body is working well for you.

To me it sounds as if your stressed and I am sure you have heard of the old saying "A watched pot will never boil".
Go take a hot bath, get a massage, and have some herbal tea.

yes probably becuase of stress. and also you being sick then working alot just throw you hormones off thats all! But you may look to see if you are pregnant?? if that is not a possibility and you still do not get it by the next time you are supposed to you need to go to the doctor. You may have PCOS. Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrom. It is a inbalance in your hormones and you can lead not haveing a cycle for 3-4 months. Trust me i know! I have it! I have about 2-3 periods a year 4 if i am lucky. They can put you on birth control to reguate you. I have no insurance so i can't take get the birth control. This can cause you to have long term problems so better to check it out. but if you just skip this month and rule out pregnancy and you get it next month there is nothing to worry about cause that just means the cold and stress through you off!

It's probably just delayed because of stress. Try and take it easy and don't worry about it. It will show up.

Stress is causing it to be late.

Relax, the more you stress over it the longer it will be.
