Since she is your wife, I am sure she knows of your financial difficulties, so I am sure she is not expecting some big gift. Do something from your heart instead. If you have children set up that they go for a sleep over at a relatives tomorrow, so u can have the night for the two of u, this way u can romance her and show her how much u love her. It is "her" day, so just make her feel special. Make her a card........cards in your own words mean so much more than a store-bought card. Make her a nice dinner, and have the table set up nice with a nice tablecloth and candlelight. After dinner u can put on a song that means something to the both of u and ask her to dance. Maybe then u can lay her down and give her a nice, long massage with relaxation oil. (if u have any) What men don't understand is that if we think u have really thought out the evening from your heart instead of your wallet, it means so much more to us. Feeling really loved and special is what she will remember for a long time. Good luck

take time off work tomorrow (or try to leave a little early). go home & clean the house. make a nice dinner for her - doesn't have to be fancy. meatloaf & mashed potatoes with green beans or spaghetti with a salad. anything, just as long as she doesn't have to cook. if you have kids, see if your family or freinds could watch them for the night so you two can have some alone time. fill a nice hot tub for her & let her soak while you get dinner ready. give her a back rub - without the expectation of "a happy ending."
any one or all of the above would be greatly appreciated by your wife. most women are simpler than you think - we really don't ask for much, and not having to clean up or cook supper and/or getting a break from the kids would be terrific birthday gifts.

Do something romantic that is of no cost to you. Create a theme of romance..make a nice picnic from what you have at home, go to a park, gaze at the stars together, write a poem, take a nice walk together somewhere nice, talk to each other, tell her how much you appreciate her and how you feel about her, hang out together, watch movies that you already have on hand, play video or board games together, just be together and that is enough because after all money does not buy Devinne happiness!

Give her the day off! Do the housekeeping, laundry, dishes, cooking, offer to give her a nice shoulder rub or foot massage. We women apperciate the little things in life most, like a nap, time to ourselves, reading, some down time not to worry about anything. Cook her a meal , eat by candlelight and tell her how you honestly feel about her! I love being told I'm the light of my hunny's life. Good Luck, dig deep and find some romantic jestures for her.

i would pamper her do all the chores while she takes a bath and bake a cake for her don't get mad when she tells you your doing things wrong and make some body scrub ( 1 cup of baby oil and 1 to 2 cups of sugar in a jar) tell her to rub it all over while she is in the shower or bath then wash off . she'll love the fact that you did something so thoughtful . also get out her most comfortable night clothes and tell her to put those on all day long because you got everything and she doesn't need to get out of bed.stay home from work and be there for her and DO NOT pressure her for sex let her come on to you tomorrow when she wakes up from this day it will be worth it

I've been there! My birthday my husband & I were broke. What he did for me was take care of my daily tasks (dishes laundry kids) Then he fixed me dinner (mind you at the time he was a chef so he didn't like doing it at home) He baked me a cake. Didn't have anyone to take the kids, but I enjoyed my birthday with them too. The kids made cards. it was soo sweet!

The most important thing is that she's your wife and you married her because you love her, so do nothing. You don't want to go rob a bank because you are broke, you already posses the greates gift ever that money cannot buy and that is your love for her, then give her that and have faith in your love and yourself.

Throw her out of the kitchen and prepare her favorite meal with candles then do the dishes as she puts her feet up and waits for you to sit besides her to enjoy a good movies which both of you enjoy. It is not the amount of money you spend but the time put into the gift. Best of luck

Give her a gift cannot buy, total and true attention.
Fix a the evening meal, clean up afterwards. Give her a sensual back and body rub followed by totally pleasuring her physically.
If you live in a snowy or icy area, clean off her car in the morning before she gets up.
