i dont think it was intentional, i think he went out to buy a really hairy dog and got the wrong species.

I have no idea why. He must have really loved bubbles to have gotten married and you can always ask him why and maybe he will tell you the answer lol. Who and what he chooses to marry is his choice and he has to live with the choices that he makes. We cannot make choices for other people.
