it is a paper bag, and am being ask to deduct 25%. the bag itself is 22cm in height.

Find the amount when the base and percent are known.

convert 25% to decimal

Remove the % sign. divide 25 by 100

25 / 100 = 0.25

Multiply 22 times the decimal

22 x 0.25 = 5.5

The amound is 5.5

Subtract 5.5 from 22

22 - 5.5 = 16.5

16.5 cm is left
